Singing Time Activity:
After you learn and sing the song, print THIS DOCUMENT and see if you can find the answers to the questions and color the pictures!
Print and cut out THESE SCENARIOS into strips. Fold and place them in a jar. Ask, "How can I be a missionary now...?" as a strip of paper is pulled from the jar. See how many answers you can think of for each one!
Optional: Print, color, and cut out THESE PICTURES. See if you can put them in order and sing the song! OR - print and color 2 copies. Turn them upside down and play the matching game!
Bonus Song: I Will Be What I Believe
See if you remember and can sing along with one of our favorite songs about some great missionary examples.
What can you do to show love to those around you? Find someone who needs help (or a smile) this week and help them! If you can't think of anyone, say a prayer to know who to help.
MARCH
Singing Time Activity:
Make your own Hot and Cold Music Note!
- Print and color one (or more) of these music notes.
- Choose one child to be "it". Have them close their eyes (or leave the room) for a moment while someone else hides the music note somewhere in the room/house.
- Then have the child who is "it" open their eyes and search for the note!
- All others should give clues to guide this person on where to find the note by singing LOUD when they are close to the note and QUIET when they are not.
You can make this activity more difficult by using the entire house! You can also designate any item (i.e. a stuffed animal, or favorite toy) as the note instead of the paper note.
Be creative! Have fun!

February
Singing Time Activity:
Make your own singing time ribbon wands!
- Follow the directions on THIS SITE to create your own ribbon wands.
- For a little more difficult option, see here
- Or, be creative! What can you find around the house to create your own wands?
- Or, Sister Farley has a lot of ribbon wands in a lot of different colors! Call her and borrow some for your singing time :)

Now, how do you use your amazing wands in singing time? Use these ideas, or be creative and think of your own! (Ideas adapted from Camille's Primary Ideas).
- Listen to the music, move the wand however the music makes you feel.
- Sing or listen to the song. Move the wand up when the notes go up and down when the notes go down. Move up or down with each new note.
- Make the wands bounce when the song does.
- Make a special action to make whenever you sing a "rhyming word".
- Let someone choose a word from the song. Do a special action whenever that word is sang. Optional - let the word be a surprise/secret! The person who chose the word does the action when it is sung. Have everyone guess what the secret word was.
- Create actions with the wands (when we sing “stand,” have them lift up their wands, make a heart shape when we sing “love,” shake the wand like it’s trembling for “tremble,” make a cross for “crucified,” for “suffered” touch a palm with the wand where Christ had nails, etc.).
- Learn how to crescendo (get louder, vigorously shaking wands) and decrescendo (get softer, shaking softly).

- First, download and color this page about being a missionary.
- Write your name and color your own missionary name tag (on page 2 of the download)
- Can you think of 2 ways that you can share the gospel with others now?
- Now, follow along to learn this song.
- Use your ribbon streamers when singing the song! Can you take turns making up your own actions for each verse?

- Now see if anyone else can beat you!

Ready for a challenge?
Try it again using tongs or tweezers to stack the hearts! Don't touch the hearts with your hands!
